I was just curious and wanted to see if Nasty Dollars was listed with the BBB, and it came up to my surprise! Also to my surprise they had a bad record with them. I wanted to find out to see if anybody has any horror stories or shaving "suspicions" about them. Thanks!

you wont find any adult company with that volume of transactions having a positive BBB listing :-)

Well, I checked em out and they passed the shaving test. They even encouraged me to try it again at a later date. I did so 4 months later. They passed again and I used a CC from a friend in another state so they couldn't flag shit.

In November 2003 they sent me a check. It was only for $25. I forgot to cash it and brought it to their attention. They sent me a new one by next day Fedex. I said, naw, not needed, it was only $25 and they said, "Bullshit, you have been sending us traffic ever since we sent you that first check and its the least we can do."

Then when I moved I had shit sent to a PO BOX but forgot to tell them. They sent out the checks and mine got returned to sender. They tracked me down to my new address and sent it back out to me... guess how? Next day air again. Happened so fast I didn't even realize anything was amiss...

In my humble opinion, They kick ass! Anyone who tells you different, tell them to hate the game, not the player.

Nasty Dollars makes some of the most popular sites out there with great conversions so I'm not so sure how much you can trust a simple BBB rating over what other experienced webmasters say about them.

Anyway, the BBB is known for giving good ratings to companies that are pretty much based around scamming others (MLM, network marketing, etc.). I did some research on them a while ago, and the amount of dirt that's out there on some BBB offices is staggering.

Thanks for the reply, yeah I never suspected them myself, but this is the adult biz, any sign of negative PR, I'm gonna think twice about promoting them, I work 15 hour days, and put in alot of hours on the weekend too. Yeah i realize that, this is freakin PORN, I tried to look for other sponsors, but that bad BBB reports gets you curious though.

Great link, I will check out that article, yeah government agencies tend to mislead sometimes instead of giving the consumer or businesses hints about the ethics of a certain company!

I would NEVER trust the BBB for anything. To be listed with the BBB, you have to pay them a yearly fee. If you do not pay them this fee, then they will say that you refused to comply with their disclosure (which comes with the yearly fee), and are therefore always listed as suspect.

In the terms listed on the page you linked:
" If a company is a member of the BBB, it is stated in this report." Therefore, they are not BBB members, they are listed only because they exist, were asked by the BBB to pay the yearly fee and disclose private financial data, and they didn't do so.
Funny how that BBB report makes them sound like criminals because they didn't want to pay the BBB cash every year to NOT get a bad listing, eh?

The BBB is a racket, nothing more. You pay yearly to get a good listing, and if you don't pay them yearly, they make it sound like you're not an honest business.

I believe that an adult company with a bad rep from the BBB would be due to customer complaints rather than webmaster complaints.

To be totally honest, this is probably not due to actual poor customer service but the scamming, freeloading porn surfer. They whip out their credit card in the heat of the moment and then 20 minutes later forget all about their membership until their credit card comes in. They honestly feel that all funds should be returned. I'm not just talking trials that turned into a monthly membership fee, I am talking some people cancel within the trial period but they still want their trial fee back cause "I was only on the site about 20 minutes" No joke, you would not believe the lengths some people will go to, to get $1 lousy buck back.

Better Business Bureau, they track customer complaints about companies to give you an idea of their track record. Not foolproof though as illustrated here.

Yeah, tell me about it, I use to work for B of A and you get people calling in and saying they never ordered that online porn, and you ask them if they've ever given their CC for age verification, and oops, that's when they're too embarassed to admit they've viewed porn, and still continue to argue that the charge is wrong.

The "Better Business Bureau". It's a U.S. company that makes you either pay yearly dues (and follow a few private financial disclosure rules), or else they'll imply that you're a scammer.

In other words, regardless of whether you run an honest business or a scam business, if you don't pay their yearly fees, they'll make you look like a dishonest company. Pay the fees, and they'll make you seem like an honest business.

It's like Acacia for mainstream businesses, in a broad sense.
