The U.S. military says it is checking unconfirmed reports that al Qaeda ally Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has been captured in Iraq.

They know... them and some other networks are just busy thinking of how to put a negative spin on it and the handover....

Ok, cool. It just sounded like you were kind of disappointed at the news :) . From what I've noticed, "unconfirmed" usually means something is under progress and 99% accurate, but they want to be absolutely sure and confirm it before it hits the news. So maybe I'm overly optimistic, but let's see... I hope it's true.

perhaps unconfirmed really means unconfirmed.
