I've been banned too now...
 

My alias has now been banned too. I receive the no permission screen when logging in or trying to reset my password.

I suppose it was due to my posting a thread trying to help AlienQ figure out why he was banned.

I know for sure, that Amnet is focusing all HTTP traffic through a proxy, and a single IP address. You don't have an external IP, unless you pay for a static one.

Cable Tica may be different.

Servers in Canada see it as different IPs (ie. if I connect now, unplug my modem, reconnect and connect again, the server will see two different IPs).

Perhaps proxy isn't applied to all clients ?

me neither.. especially if i was having some sort of board argument.. i'd just figure someone was pretending to be him to get me to shut up... it would have to come to me from my GFY email in their database.

Anyway, it used to be they gave you an internal IP address, and everyone shared a external one. Maybe they've upgraded finally.

It's unfortunate that there isn't any 2 way digital sattelite internet yet .. Or I'd be living in Tamarindo now :(
