What price are you willing to pay for a single image to use on a design?
 

Been having a chat with a designer on another board and it's got me thinking. :Graucho

If we were to create a set with a single image, or maybe two images, primarily for design what is the most you would pay for it?

We could put it on a white or blue background.

Don't bother telling me the least I need to know the most, I'm in this for the money. LOL

A lot of votes for $1.

Problem is at $1 the same image could be everywhere or not worth us bothering.

You need to think this through a little more, do you want the same images on 50 different tours?

And still people wonder about chargebacks.
I seriously wonder why anyone would want to have one single pic to use in a banner, tourdesign or whatever. Your surfer sees it on there and expects it to be in the membersarea aswell, so buy the whole f*cking set already!

I think $3-4 would be fair so long as the buyer gets to select the picture from the set. Offering just one pic like this would kind of kill the idea.

Haha, this is true! A set is only $30-50.

Hire someone to do top notch extractions, and leave them on a transparent background, then up the price.

It would waste both the content providers time and the designers time for a dollar, I believe a barter, link trade, etc would be more effective for sets or maybe extracted image sets for 10-30 bucks.

If the Images where clean extractions then maybe it would be worth a dollar per image.

On the other hand I don't want to buy a set of images when I just want one or two to use in a design.

Very true, but a lot of these people are just designers and don't see the bigger picture.

And how much an hour will they charge, how long will it take and what do I charge for the image?

Speaking as a designer... I don't know, nor care... the client is paying for the pic(s), not me : )

I just floated the idea, cause I hate doing extractions... expecially on chicks with fucked up hair, and I've been looking for someone that sells that kind of content for like 8 years now : )

Take a look at the "Photo Objects" collections.... if those were available in porn versions... i'd make sure as hell that I had access to every volume...

Exactly.... Except the point of the special "design" image is that they're on a solid background, like white, for design work.. so although you'd want sets of the same girl in the site, you wouldn't really want a full set of her on a white background.

I think it would take an hour to do it really nicely. At that rate we want to make $100 from the image, would 5 people buy it for $20 or 10 for $10?
