Netflix sent me Ice Age today...

I'm thinking of cutting out and popping it in. Anyone seen it? Is it as funny as Monsters, Inc?

These "kids" movies crack me up. I feel stupid getting them but they're funny as shit so who cares!

:)

It's a great movie. I never saw Monsters Inc but I loved that little thing in the movie that tries to protect its acorns. Watch it, you'll know what I mean. Definitely a good flick.

its cool. looks kinda empty texture-wise in some parts, but good fun!

I love all Pixar movies, Ice Age is a good one... I can't wait for The Incredibles

Vitasoy 06-26-2004 09:31 PM

It's not as good a monster inc. but it's a good kids flick. :)

wyldblyss 06-26-2004 09:33 PM

I love both Ice Age and Monsters Inc. I love the thing protecting it's acorns...but you have to love the shrew (not sure how to spell it).

JSA Matt 06-26-2004 09:34 PM

It's a sloth!

infecto 06-26-2004 09:34 PM

yeah it was done by the fox studios or someone under them.

It's an awesome movie.. be sure to watch Scratch's missing adventure as well as the trailers... all 3 of them. They're like mini movies in themselves and pretty damn funny.

I think if you like Monster's Inc. or that style of movie at all, you'll love Ice Age.

I own it myself :thumbsup

psyko514 06-26-2004 09:47 PM

yep, definetly an awesome movie. i took my kid brother to see it and enjoyed it as much as he did :)

RobD 06-26-2004 10:47 PM

Awesome movie, better than Monsters Inc. you should really watch it, enjoy :thumbsup Scratch is fucking hilarious :)

eroswebmaster 06-26-2004 10:50 PM

Sometimes I have more fun at the movies than my kid does lol, and if you think about it these kind of movies have a lot of jokes that kids donīt get but we as adults (not completely maybe) understand, Shrek is the best example of that, but the kids laugh anyway and we do too so I donīt see why youīd feel stupid. If you donīt like them youīre probably bitter, too old, or just donīt like comedy... :2 cents:

I love all those movies! Sometimes I think that adults enjoy "kids" movies more than kids do. Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc. were all great, but I'd have to say that Shrek is my favorite.

riosluts 06-26-2004 11:15 PM

Yeah i've seen it great movie. Not as good as Shrek but still pretty good

Ar3s 06-26-2004 11:26 PM

seen it...
amazing movie..
go see it now bro! :)

ldinternet 06-26-2004 11:35 PM

I'm a closet fan of the kids movies too... Toy Story, Lion King, Shrek were all great.

I haven't seen Ice Age yet or Monsters Inc. yet, but Monsters Inc. is always on cable. I've been meaning to record it but for some reason I always miss it. :1orglaugh

Scrat, not Scratch!! He's part squirrel, part rat! :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Ice Age rocked. I have the DVD and I've watched it a million times. It definitely has a lot of adult jokes and is geared for older people, too.

On a related note, I went to see Garfield two Saturdays ago and there was trailer at the beginning for Ice Age 2. Can't remember when it's coming out, though. The whole trailer was Scrat trying to stomp down an acorn that keeps popping up out of a pile. :1orglaugh

Are you sure that was for Ice Age 2? They released a 5 minute outtake of that little bugger playing with his acorns. Can't remember it all but I remember he collected a whole bunch and then the glacier he's on breaks and he starts collecting them in midair again and so forth. If it went like that, I think that was the outtake and not for Ice Age 2.

I bet you're right. It probably wasn't Ice Age 2. Now that you wrote that, I think that *is* the same scene that's on the bonus DVD that came with my IA.

We were just coming in to the theater and getting seated while it was playing. After it was off my friend said, "I don't remember them saying when the new one was coming out. What date did they give?" And of course, I told her I didn't notice it either. I thought it was strange that neither one of us could remember. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh I'm sure the 10,000 people we've told about the sequel in the last two weeks will love to hear this news, as well. :thumbsup

They'll understand. We're both blonde.
