Do you do your own laundry?

Or do you send it out?

I'm thinking of sending it out from now on - getting sick and tired of doing it for myself. People that send it out - is that shit trustable?

ThePornPusher 06-26-2004 12:40 PM

My mommy does mine for me.

So does mine. For real.

Spunky 06-26-2004 12:42 PM

It's one of my favourite chores

loverboy 06-26-2004 12:42 PM

GF does the whole work :)

m00d 06-26-2004 12:47 PM

only do it if you dont have washer/dryer hookups at your place. i can't see the point of it unless you have to spend all day in a laundrymat otherwise

I got my own washer/drier, but it's still annoying. I already get my suits drycleaned weekly, might as well get them to clean my other shit too - right?

wyldblyss 06-26-2004 12:52 PM

I do laundry for our family of six. That works out to be 2 loads of laundry Mon thru Fri (all I have time for during the work week) and 5 or 6 loads on both Sat and Sun.

This does not include all the bloody ironing I do too.

Wanna do mine too? :helpme

NickHimself34 06-26-2004 12:53 PM

How much is it to have someone else do your laundry?

Is it cheaper than going through rolls and rolls of quarters at the laundromat (not to mention wasting half a day sitting there)?

Whoa, that's some slave labor, I sure hope someone in that household reaches your G-spot 2 loads Mon thru Fri and 5-6 loads on the weekends :winkwink:

I wouldn't use a public laundromat - that shit just sounds too dirty. Buy your own washer and drier, well worth the investment until you get sick of the work, like me.

Lauren 06-26-2004 12:57 PM

No. If you have no time, then sending it the the laundry shop will be most convenient for you. ask your neighbors for referrals.

that depends mainly on your level of wealth. if you think you could spend those minutes doing something else that could make what it costs to hire it done PLUS a profit, then yes send it out. But if you plan on using those minutes to watch the manshow, No.

StarkReality 06-26-2004 01:03 PM

When I ion it, it looks like shit, washing and drying it myself and this cutie cleaning my appartment once a week does the rest...

C_U_Next_Tuesday 06-26-2004 01:07 PM

I hate laundry, I do it for a family of 5 ..its about a load to 2 a day.:321GFY

tyler86ed 06-26-2004 01:11 PM

I don't do my laundry until the last complete day I can. Usually my last pair of boxers means its time. Like 1 time a week.

Duh? What's that? The "thingy" in the "laundering room"?? Na.. never go in there - it feels it an intrusion into the maid's privacy.

Yeah Ive got my own washer and dryer and do my own laundry. But when something needs to be dry cleaned, I have them come pick it up, clean it, then bring it back..I'll pick it up if im out or around the place.

Sarah_Jayne 06-26-2004 01:26 PM

no one else is going to do it if I don't

Rich 06-26-2004 01:27 PM

Our maid service also has a laundry service, they take it twice a week and drop it off the next day. Never had any problems, and I've seen the place where they do it, it's clean.

Doctor Dre 06-26-2004 01:29 PM

I paid enough for my washer / dryer that Ima use it ... lol

Sosa 06-26-2004 01:29 PM

it isn't hard, do it yourself

Rictor 06-26-2004 01:44 PM

Yah, I do it. Walking it to the basement is about the only excercise I get. That and taking out the trash.

Peaches 06-26-2004 03:10 PM

Doing laundry is the only household chore I actually enjoy. :)

Marcus Aurelius 06-26-2004 03:12 PM

my wife and I share the duty, although she does more than me admittedly

SlickRick 06-26-2004 04:28 PM

if by send it out you mean give it to my mom, then yes i send it out. she's trustable with laundry :)

boardersweetie 06-26-2004 04:48 PM

I've got a huge enough wardrobe I can get away with only doing laundry once a month or so. I also take laundry back home when I visit and get my mommy to do it. I'm still in college and young enough to get away with it.

andrej_NDC 06-26-2004 04:50 PM

my girlfriend does

And I thought I had a lot of clothes. :eek2

Diabolical Cord 06-26-2004 04:55 PM

Buddy of mine had a big wardrobe to where he did his laundry once a month, but when he did do the laundry, it'd take him an entire day.

Vitasoy 06-26-2004 06:35 PM

I do my own, a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do... :banana

slapass 06-26-2004 06:39 PM

I was just looking into this too. I was in Brazil and had it done down there. It rocked. Dropped off clothes pick up clothes all done. Not sure if it is that big in the states.

Note sure how big it is out here in Canada either, but I'm going to look into it on Monday. I'm sick and tired of doing it myself.

Tom_PMs 06-26-2004 06:42 PM

Been doing my own since I was 12 (big family), so lets see... for the last 27 years.
Maybe that'll change if I hit a big lottery.:thumbsup

I use 2 send mine out, at least my shirts and pants.

do my own now, but I have enough to last for 2 months, socks, undies, shirst, and jeans. It's a big job when I wait for 2 months

I'm not at any of my places for long enough stretches to warrant a housekeeper in any of them. :(

MiSsBeHeaDReSs 06-26-2004 07:09 PM

I do my own laundry and everyone else's. :( Have since I was a kid.

FlyingIguana 06-26-2004 09:24 PM

takes no time to do laundry. takes a min to walk there, throw shit in the washer. walk home, go back in 28 mins throw the shit in the dryer, go back back. come back in 21 mins and pick it up, then take it home and throw my clean clothes on the floor :)
