the %20 instead of a space.

Xenophage 06-25-2004 01:14 PM

bump anyone know the answer to this

evildick 06-25-2004 01:16 PM

I'm pretty sure there are some trade scripts that won't like that.

Za Ha 06-25-2004 01:17 PM

JoeS 06-25-2004 01:18 PM

Hello Lars,

I know that the tgp script I use has problems with it yes.

Looking forward to talking with you again soon.

I believe google/yahoo can and will spider that.

Fabuleux 06-25-2004 01:28 PM

Make is a "_" and safe yourself a lot of trouble.

WiredGuy 06-25-2004 01:37 PM

I believe it's IE that converts the spaces into %20 characters, whether or not bots do this I don't know for sure. But let's put it this way, if you can create a file with spaces in it, it's just as easy to replace that space with a dash or underscore. Don't take the chance and use something that is a standard rather than spaces.

huh huh you said fuck

StarkReality 06-25-2004 02:16 PM

For Google a "-" instead of "%20" would be much better, Google doesn't recognize %20 as a separator, so keywords in the name of the html file won't help.

Xenophage 06-25-2004 02:31 PM

ok kewl thanks I will have it rewritten a bit..

webgurl 06-25-2004 03:00 PM

The 20% should be okay i know with the ARS hosted galleries links it screwed up my Autogallery TGP script it didn't work just make sure you don't have the " & " in the URL

Cheers ,:thumbsup
