The mystery about a good CTR
 

Hello everybody ..
Since I made alot of differnet galls in the last time I got alot of differnet result. I am talking about the CTR. I've made one template that got a way good CTR like 2% - 3% .. Then another gall with the same template but diferent content got a much lower CTR.
So I thought of making a thread for all of us where we can write down all factors that have influence on the CTR on gall.

So I start .
- Content : The more the surfer likes the content and the more rare the content is the more probably the surfer will look out for a link which he will click to see more of that content, if he likes it. Hardcore gets often a better CTR as Softcore .
- Place of the Links / Attention : The links shoulb be set in a way that it catches the surfers attention. They should be placed in a central position where the surfers eye is fixed on automaticly .
- Also WHAT is written as the link has a big influence on the CTR. Links like " FREE MOVIE DOWNLOADS" etc get a higher CTR than "CLICK HERE FOR FISHMEAT" (<- maybe a new niche, I want the 100$ creativity contest )
- GFX : Also animated Graphics are good to catch the surefers attention ..

Let's make a useful thread out of this one where everybody can share his expiriences about CTR and Galls and where everybody , reading this thread, can go out with a little bit more knowledge as he had before reading it ..

CTR means shit .. and I mean SHIT

Sales versus traffic to your gallery is all that counts

I have tons of 0.5% CTR galleries that sells a whole lot better than my 5% CTR ones

Do you self the favour and forget about CTR

Make a gallery .. and after it got 100k of visits check out the number of sales .. divide that number with 100 and you get the SPK (Sales Per K) .. That should be at least 0.1 or something - otherwise the gallery suck .. or at least the sponsor or the traffic

Ok I agree .. A good point to consider ..

But still there are things in a gallery that need to be considered in order to make the gallery successfull ..
So maybe I should have call the thread in a different way ..

However we can call it "how to make a gallery succesful" ..

Like when I use only one Button or text link saying "Click here for gay movies" while I use Teen Straight content and place that link at the very bottom of the gallery with font size pt 1 I will probably get a CTR that is almost equal to 0 and so are my sales ..

So I am talking about these points .. things that need to be considered to make the gall succesful ..

And somehow your SPK are in relation with SPK so still I think this thread has some sense ..

Well, ofcourse CTR is important - because if the CTR is 0% there will be no sales :)

Some stuff can be sold be aiming after a high CTR .. the effect will be that alot of users who really wasn't going to buy do it anyway..

On the other sites - metioning the price of a cheap trial will make alot of the people who thinks paid porn is always expensive to sign up - but these link have a low CTR

yep I know what you mean .. AN acurate textlink with a good description what the surfer will find when he slick have a lower CTR but a better ratio ..

When I write "FREE FULL LENGHTH MOVIES" then almost everybody will click there but with the intention to get Free Movies .. and when he notice that it is a paysite where he needs to PAY for the porn, he will click X on the window .. so you will get a ratio lile 1:3000 when you are lucky :)

I like the idea of ignoring CTR and conversion of CTR. Do impressions per conversion. That way you really know how the gallery did.

CTR can be good information for the site owner/designer...

yes sure of course to check the REAL conversion you need to ignore the CTR .. but in order to have a SUCCESFUL Gall some basic facts need to be considering while making this gall ..

These fewpoints I wanted to discuss here , andI already made the start , I hoped we can make after long time posting §real or fake" threads some useful threads where we can share our knowledge and expiriences ..
