Gmail spam filters...

Just got a Gmail account from Lane the other day and I've been playing around with it.

How effective are their spam filters?
Are they stricter than Hotmail's filters I remember my Hotmail account used to get 200+ spams a day and that's gone down to about 5 a week.

GMAIL = Filters as bad as a plain outlook express
