I almost shit my fucking pants - now with pictures!
 

Last week I dropped my regular $100 at borders and among the books I bought were The Shining, Nightmares and Dreamscapes and Four Past Midnight, all by Steven King. I already finished Nightmares and Dreamscapes and am half way through Four Past Midnight. Anyway, I spent the last hour alone in the living room in the dark (just enough light coming from the bathroom to read by) reading Secret Window Secret Garden from Four Past Midnight and I had just started on The Library Policeman. I have read all of these stories before and I was thinking about all the creepy shit that I know is coming later in the story when I decided to head for the computer room and get a little work done.

Anyway, I flip on the monitor and glance down to see this being typed onto my screen as I watch.

I thought I was going to have a heart attack until I realized it was just a screen saver going on the copy of Linux I have running inside a VMWare Virtual Machine. I am going to deactivate that fucker because I am too fat for that kind of surprise.

For my money, that is still one of the scariest moments in all of film history.
