http://www.tgpwizards.com is FREE.

It is fullu functional and won't get you blacklisted - the only one with a desktop submission feature which allows you to mange your manual and partner TGP submissions as well.

:thumbsup

I'm looking at chameleon submitter, any comments?

Fabuleux 06-24-2004 09:26 PM

I hope we can make this thread a nice resource.

Chameleon:
+ Database very often updated (2000 TGP's)
+ OCR is not perfect but saves time
- You cannot include your own recip
-- Submission Explorer windows are not within the program. This can be annoying because sometimes a window pop-up above the window you are typing in.

I've also used Advanced submitter. It doesn't have OCR, and not the allmost daily updated database. But if you have build your own database, and thus you don't submit to hundreds of TGP's, I think AS is the better product, just because Chameleons explorer windows are so annoying.

It's not free, they ask one recip. That one should be your own :2 cents:

AS DOES have ocr, in beta form, but ppl are using it succesfully apparently. Didnt know the own recip thing about chameleon, that sucks, I thought I read in the help files u could put your own recip in?

grand 06-24-2004 09:34 PM

u mentioned that you cannont include your own recips....

Fabuleux 06-24-2004 09:38 PM

If AS has OCR, I consider to buy that again. Someone using Dreamsubmitter?

Fabuleux 06-24-2004 09:49 PM

I have to correct something, Chameleon can use your own recip.

Brilliant... best I have used in 4+ years.

hjnet 06-24-2004 11:30 PM

I prefer Advancedsubmitter with my own custom DB (sig), but I've to say that I've never used Chameleon, so it might be good too, but on there sites it states that they are only using 4 different descriptions, and how many different thumb sizez do they use for their thumb TGPs?

I think around 50 or 60. You select a picture, select area and then it creates the thumbs automatically. How does AS handle this?

Nice, with Advancedsubmitter you'd have to crop the preview thumbs manually, which I'd prefer anyway since preview thumbs are too important to let the script handle them, but that's an additional nice feature of Chameleon, and I guess you're still able to make the preview thumbs manually?

Vitasoy 06-25-2004 01:06 AM

I like AS, and use my own database.

hentaivip 06-25-2004 01:19 AM

How about russiansubmitter ?

andrej_NDC 06-25-2004 02:43 AM

chameleon for sure, check my sign

Johny Traffic 06-25-2004 02:47 AM

I use a mixture of manual and submiters, http://www.webmastersunion.net/tgp-submision-list.html

Yes you can crop thumbnails manually if you wish. However auto cropping tool is excellent IMHO, you can check cropped thumbs and make some corrections if neccessary, but I needed to do this only when there was some text in original image I needed to hide.

You CAN include your own recip in chameleon, It is really described in help

Ross 06-25-2004 03:49 AM

Advanced Submitter all the way!

Nifield 06-25-2004 01:09 PM

www.dreamsubmitter.com hands down. You cant beat the pin point accuracy and error correcting of dreamsubmitter. Also its customization is unbelievable.

I've shaved hours off my submitting times by switching to dreamsubmitter.com

:thumbsup :thumbsup

StarkReality 06-25-2004 01:15 PM

I'm used to Advanced Submitter and I love it, for thumbs the best way is definately Photoshop. Maybe old fashioned, but I doubt any program can beat photoshop in quality.
