Need a GOOD cheap domain registrar
need to get a few domains -cheap- but with a registart that lets you transfer the domain easily. we use them for our turnkey sites and the cheap one we were using has this pain in the ass policy that the domain can not be transfered until after like 60 days from the registration date.
any suggestions on who to use? |

That 60 days policy goes for all registrars, although some doesn't follow it as strictly as others. I know Godaddy use the 60 rule to the teeth, but enom is pretty loose w/ it.

I suggest trying Moniker.com
I met their CEO in Phoenix and he seemed like a really nice guy, and I'm very impressed with their system and user interface. Props if you read this Erik :) btw, yes I'm the "hot dog" guy haha :1orglaugh |

I am sure most of you noticed that many of my sites had some down time. This was caused by an internet domain registrar deactivating over 100 of Dirty D's domains!!! It is very frustrating to have down time that is completely outside of your control. Be assured we worked aggressively to expedite reactivating the domains with this registrar. All of my domains are now actively moving to a different (more responsible) registrar. I recommend in the strongest possible terms not to use Joker.com registrar services, all domain registrars acknowledged by Icann.org are NOT created equal. The complete details will be published once this incompetent registrar is no longer in control of ANY of my domains... Have you tried Enom? They have a push feature that allows you to transfer domains as soon as you have them. The catch is you can only push to enom accounts.

directnic.. never had any problems with them at all

Who is the cheapest nowadays?
I've seen one registrar was selling names for $4.95/yr |
