Visa / Mastercard Fees
 

Does anyone know if you have to pay their big fees EVERY time you get a merchant account or is it a one time deal?

Are you referring to merchant accounts or 3rd party processors? Although I am not 100% sure, I?d say you?d have to pay the fees every time you get a merchant account. The acquiring bank sometimes pays all those things for you, depending on the transaction volume.

I belive it is the same fees no matter if it's 3rd party or standard merchant if you are applying for a "high risk" account

You pay it for every new merchant account you open. Everything in that merchant account is covered.
