Recently I got ripped on a traffic deal as some of you may have read about. This is the fourth time I have been scammed since I have been in the adult business. Something needs to be done about this, and after I saw Fletch's blog, it gave me an idea. It's not perfect by any means, but for right now, this will suffice.

I recently put together a page to detail scammer activity. The plan is that if you have been ripped, forward the details to me and I will publish the information on the site. This is not some diary or blog for me to exploit for my own ramblings, but an open archive of scammer activity.

Included with this is a comments section so that if you have been scammed by the same person, you can post details about your experience with them as well.

note: I originally asked Fletch for his blessing on the inspiration, as I used parts of his template for this project. He originally gave permission but then decided to turn it into drama.

People emulate basic gallery, TGP designs etc. all the time for their own use. While I have agreed to change my template for his complacency, I know he will want to spin this for his own ego driven purposes to his own benefit.

Fact is, there was a portion of the page I did'nt know how to do (the side borders) so I used his page's code for reference.

As most of you know I hate drama, and try very hard to stay away from it. In this ICQ chat with Fletch I tried very hard to steer him away from being childish and playing the victim to no avail.

Chances are he will have some nice things to say about this in this thread, as he already has on his blog site, but I have no more responses for him on this issue.

Plain and simple is: I asked him if it was ok, he said no, so I am changing it. His further clamoring for drama lead me to stop playing mr. nice guy and do what I want to do; which is launch the site today as planned and change the design when I have some time.

You guys can make up your own minds about it. I am sure there will be some sort of popularity contest, but these are the facts and I offer nothing more. Sorry to take away your ace in the hole fletch, but you want so desperately for everything to be about you - you got it.

ICQ numbers of the guilty party. He also promised Ivy some work and just bailed as well. Eroswebmaster has a lot of dirt on this guy as well.

Nice idea, I was going to do something like this awhile back, but I couldn't take the pressure of the drama it would bring in...... I am not one for dram either and generally run as fast as I can away from it...... LOL

Be careful. There are a lot of legal liabilities when you do this.

Ask around. One guy got successfully sued for $250,000.00 for posting a site like this.

This guy had ONE INTENTION.

Using my name for drama, and even in the end he did so.

He copied my html, I have the ICQ logs him admitting doing so, even because he could not get his tables and backgrounds to work.

He CHOSE to bring it to the board because of the first intention I believe he has had, to use my name for drama. As he is doing, did I bring it to the board? Nope.

He was mad because I would not advertise for his message board on my blog and is now trying to turn this around./

You admitted to copying my html, I let it at that. I did not mention any names, yet you bing it to board to push your new project.

This is well intentioned and all, but CT, you really should take KRLs post under advisement. :2 cents:

Defamation of Character is a VERY scary charge to be brought up on... :2 cents: take the site down

the idea of the site is a good one, but KRL says it best about the liabilities. make sure you have documented proof

I will need to speak with you about this on ICQ if that's ok to verify some things. You have me on your list right?

Thanks for the heads up. Do you have any details about that situation?

I mean, while I would like to stay safe with this, the fact that scammers get protected is fucked up and I hope that with the right filters in place this thing can stand up to it.

Good luck with your dance on the razor's edge. It's certainly honorable to warn people, but I wouldn't want to take the legal risks coming with this...

if you can't figure out something for yourself study the code until you do, then write it yourself.

put one wrong name on it or even a right name and you hit lawsuit central

wouldnt want to be in your shoes when that happens unless of course you can afford to pay legal fees plus a huge ass settlement figure for defamation, libel and lost earnings
