What the hell is this? I've had the damn pop-up a few times the past few days.. nothing before that

I had that same problem once and it was the beginning of a battle to remove the bastard thing. I finally ended up doing a sys restore.

Figured it was just a popup banner spoofing a windows menu.

Have you tried nosing around in Run>msconfig>startup to see if anything new is being loaded?

Why don't people use firewalls?
even free ones like zone alarm, ever since I installed a firewall I forgot all about that spy/adware shit

all you need is a well configured firewall :2 cents:

(install it BEFORE you have all that shit on your pc)

Better yet, get a router even if you only have 1 pc. When I got a router, zonealarm wasnt getting anymore incoming. Gotta love it.

I have a software firewall, a router as a firewall, a virus software and spyware removing programs.. too bad the 'badboys' are always one step ahead in the game...
