Cutting off heads is a humane way to execute if the head is severed instantly in one fell swoop. But using a knife to hack a head off is just about as nasty a way to go as any I've ever imagined. Just my :2 cents:

Name one instance when you've seen a beheading portrayed that wasnt done with one swing of a blade.

I did. I spent some of my summers with my grandparents - they had chickens and I was the pro (at 14 I guess) at beheadings. One chop was all it took.

My cousin, 10 at the time, following my advice used some blood to paint himself as an Indian on the war path. I was a huge fan of adventure novels back then... happy days lol :)

Cutting off heads is less barbaric than using cluster bombs in urban areas (Bush) or car bombs in markets (terrurists).
