I'm no expert, but make sure you get a truck. The rc cars are way too low. I own one and the pebbles tend to fuck up the ride when going 50+MPH.

I use to race a lot up north, Indoor onroad tracks. I looked for a track down here to do it again, but there are not too many. they hav a Nitro track that I may have to get myself into. i need a new hoby!

I've had the new T-Maxx 2.5 and the Savage .21, both are really good trucks. But nothing jumps like a Savage, its awesome for big air.

I have a t-maxx 2.5 also. Been sitting in my garage for like a year though. Fucker always over heats after 10min a driving :321GFY

dont run the fuel mixture so lean and make sure the head gets plenty of cool air. It should stick up out of the back of the truck like it does in the pics of my trucks above.

I raced a Serpent 950 (with a Novarossi R1) all last year. My ex would build and maintain the cars for me I just drove it :)

Had lots of fun but there were no other girls into the hobby so I gave up on it :(

I saw this huge ass rc truck at the local hobby store, from what the dude said the engine alone costs $400.00 - any idea what it might be? I didnt get a chance to ask, and I couldent find it on ebay.

Yeah, ive tried all that. Even have a aftermarket head on it. I think it was just a defective motor.

Last week i had one awesome jump with my nitro rush.. damn that was insane. tobad i didnt had my digital camera with me.. i'll try to make it next time, it seems a lot of webmasters like RC :glugglug

I used to be a sponsored racer. Kind of funny, I can remember the first traxxis gas truck. Man it sucked so bad. I had to do so much modifications to it, it wasn't even a traxxis anymore. The engine was good for about one 10 min run, because we had to use such high nitro content to get it to work at all.:1orglaugh

Looks like they have come a long way. I was always fond of associated products myself.

Me too back in the late 80's we used to run around the country in 1/12th scale carpet cars. Back with the old Associated 12I-12E and 12L's. Good times waiting for Cleveland every year. I still got all my shit and an original Corrally from 91' :glugglug

I have a sailplane w/engine and i have a small electric off the road Tamiya car (for my son, he's *cough* 2)

i really want to buy a 1:8 truck like you want, but i have no time to work on it nor to drive it ... but its good fun :thumbsup
