More Bad News For Lakers Fans
 

first they lose to the Pistons in 5, then Phil Jackson splits, Kobe declares he is a free agent, Shaq asks to be traded ....... and now the worst news of all - Gary Payton exercised the option on his contract. he's all yours for another year at 5.5 mil.

With a new couch and no triangle offense payton will do great

Don't think that getting Payton for $5.5 a year is that bad...

He's still got some of his old moves he should do better without getting into the triangle offense.

GP made a financial decision.... after this years weak performance.. u think he'd get money anywhere?

with a new coach he'll get 1 "contract year" to prove his worth around the league again..... after that i'm sure he'll go elsewhere..

as for Fisher leaving.... who cares..

Shaq demanding a trade... i'm sure after he realizes that most teams will not want his fat contract... he'll stay in LA. (30mil/year.. yikes) ... if shaq + kobe + some scrubs .. didnt win the finals this year... u think shaq could get a better team elsewhere? that's pretty much what will happen if any team wants to take on shaq's big salary...

hell... if shaq is traded... for 30mil i'd rather see kobe + 2 max salary studds...
