Who has a 350-z?

I'm thinking of buying one tomorrow. I need some people telling me to do so, and others telling me WHY I shouldn't. :helpme

AdultLoungeSean 06-22-2004 01:52 AM

I always remember people saying they are cool cars- Never have owned one.

kush 06-22-2004 02:02 AM

I almost bought the 350z but went with the RX8 instead, and to be honest I'm glad I did.

Way too many of the 350z's on the road in my opinion.

riosluts 06-22-2004 02:06 AM

the 350Z is one sexy looking ride.

xenigo 06-22-2004 02:06 AM

I drove a G35 Coupe around a block in SF a few times the other night, and to be honest I think it's all bark and no bite. The thing was not nearly as fast as I though it was going to be. My friend's turbo Eclipse with 210 hp felt way faster than the G35.

Oh, and that clutch is RIDICULOUSLY heavy for a jap car.

I have to disagree, a good friend of mine has the 350 z touring stick and its fast as hell. I live in the city as well and I did a 360 when I hit second gear with the traction off turning onto van ess! This thing gets up quick, he has some nimso crap on it and its fast. I think its probally the best sports car for the price, when I drove it I was expecting it to be a piece of crap because he never gets on it. Boy was I wrong, they have that traction button for a reason! It wasnt hard at all to break loose. He told me he hit 140 on 680 but I wasnt there so I cant say for sure. His only complaint about the car is a problem with oil getting on an air guage or somthing like that which causes the car to bog out. This happend twice after getting on it hard, the dealer had it for 3 days and he hasnt had anymore problems. I would recomend this car, its deffantly fast and from what Ive seen it handles pretty nice too.

picpile 06-22-2004 02:34 AM

i would recomend it. fun car to drive, just don't get a white, red, black, or silver one. get the funky colors. I have the orange one

michel 06-22-2004 02:35 AM

I read a few tests about this car, and it alwys ended up top of the list. Great looking car, good price/quality, etc.

lagwagon 06-22-2004 02:37 AM

i took one for a test drive. i tried out the Z, a new Cobra, and a Z06..... the Z was way too small on the inside. plus it was lacking the power of the other two. the cobra was nice and i am a mustang fan. however the Z06 is like sitting in a rocket and figure with a supercharger your easily over 600 horse. plus its roomy in the Z06.

Hit me up on ICQ.

Great replies from everybody. So far from what I've see, there's no good reason not to get one. I drove it today and I have NO problem with it's speed. In fact, I was quite impressed. Then again, I'm coming from driving a 03' Avalanche. Also, I've seen VERY few in Vegas, so the oversaturation things isn't an issue. It seems as if more people in Vegas drive SUV's, minivans and honda's.

I'm not buying this to race. It'll be a daily driver, and with the traffic in Vegas, There will hardly ever be a time where I can really gun it. Needless to say, it's good to have the power available and I think the body style is pretty badass. As far as the funky colors...SOrry.. I'm a fan of the titanium. It's easy to deal with in case of chips, dents, etc, plus I won't need to wash it every day! :1orglaugh

picpile 06-22-2004 02:50 AM

when you get it, take it out on the back road down from mt charleston. car should top out at about 145 and start breaking.

Great tip. :thumbsup

I think I may just have to do that. BTW...Are you going to the Vegas webmaster get together?

hova 06-22-2004 02:57 AM

Awesome ride, a friend of mine has one. And she loves it, and there's the problem. I only know girls that have one.

Awesome...That means that girls will have no problem hopping in mine. :thumbsup

Roald 06-22-2004 04:51 AM

good choice, I would love to get one. Whats the price of one of those in Vegas?

xxxbruce 06-22-2004 04:53 AM

:thumbsup

Daddy Big Nuts 06-22-2004 06:07 AM

I'm going to buy one too....I had 2 300Z's and they were the best cars I've had. Good luck..........

Reak 06-22-2004 06:18 AM

:thumbsup :glugglug

FreeHugeMovies 06-22-2004 07:18 AM

I test drove it two times and almost purchased it, but I wanted the roadster. They want 40,000 for one of those cars and a house was my first priority.

I hate how you have to get the tape deck with the car no matter what model you get.

lilj 06-22-2004 07:22 AM

The 350-z is a pretty damn nice ride "Get your self one and post some pics":thumbsup

Penrod 06-22-2004 07:24 AM

Check out http://www.my350z.com/

Some good info there.:thumbsup

bugout 06-22-2004 07:26 AM

I've always had a soft spot for the Z cars.. My first car was a 1981 280ZX. In 1994 I got a new twin-turbo Z. Probably one of my favorite cars of all time.

The only thing I hate about living in Brazil is that all the cars suck. You can get a nice car here, but you'll pay 50% import tax and you'll probably get car-jacked.

I'm going to get one as soon as I get back in the States.

Basic_man 06-22-2004 07:28 AM

Go Go Go !

Platinum Adam 06-22-2004 07:31 AM

Dude go for it, the 350 is sick!

Dildozer 06-22-2004 07:36 AM

I'm changing my bird next year and the Z is on the top of my list for sure, however i might go with the G35 or RX8 because of the backseats.

Anyway i'll go for a 2006 so maybe there'll be more choice then.

Ar3s 06-22-2004 09:39 AM

RX8 ownz.

Manowar 06-22-2004 09:48 AM

Looks good, but i'd rather have a Skyline or RX7 Spirit A if were talking jap cars

Ice 06-22-2004 09:50 AM

Wicked fucking cars.... Angeleyes is looking at buying one and I took one for a test drive.... one of the best cars for the money IMO

Caspah 06-22-2004 10:01 AM

Dont buy a 350-Z....buy a G35! They have the same engine pretty much except the G35 looks hotter and I believe it is lighter also hence faster.

Dirty D 06-22-2004 10:08 AM

Nice choice, Sherm

I have had several Datsun/Nissan sport cars.
They absouletly ROCK

My first was a 1979 280z - Very Fun

Then I had a Turbo 300Z - Fast as hell would eat up Corvettes.

Now I am considering the G35, the 2005 model changes radically into the V8 Skyline

slapass 06-22-2004 10:08 AM

I have the G35. The traction control thing sucks crap. If you punch it, the thing kills the first to second shift. Click it off and the car is fun as hell. No trunk and no backseat to speak of but your choice is smaller still so shouldn't be a complaint for you. I like it, just have not fallen in love with it yet.

I use to have a 1978 280z ... very fun cars... too bad about the frame rails, shock towers and the body... RUST RUST RUST

axelcat 06-22-2004 10:11 AM

nice car

ModelPerfect 06-22-2004 10:51 AM

I test drove a 350Z a while back and drove the crap out of it...I'm sure the the salesmen pissed himself. Anyway, it's not the fastest car out there, but it is quick, a lot of fun to drive, and handles a heck of a lot better than the too slow RX8.

buddyjuf 06-22-2004 10:55 AM

It's a fantastic car :glugglug

I will buy one when I can afford to throw 30k$away :glugglug
