Why not? What's the difference if you pay for hosting with cash or pay with some of your traffic?

I still have old sites on smutserver from 3-4 years ago that I haven't moved. They're doing just fine where they are.

Well in some cases its more then just, "Some of your traffic"... Other times the freehosts dont last... Ive seen and heard about numerous ppl losing their traffic and sites to fh going down...

Webmasters experienced with freehosts know which ones to use and which ones to avoid. I developed a close working relationship with Wayne fr Smutserver early-on and have had several older sites hosted with them for years with no trouble.

My network is diverse. If one of my paid hosts goes down, not all of my sites go offline, unlike many self-proclaimed *smart* webmasters who have everything they own hosted at one location on one server. I've found that diversity is key to a safer network, and it works well for me so there is no reason to change it.
