For Everyone With Spyare Problems Try This

http://www.symantec.com/goback/

I have this on my son's computer. It basically keeps track of every single file that gets added and modified and you can see a complete list of everything that has been fucked with and revert to any point before you were zapped.

Its a lot like an advanced version of window's restore, but more precise.

The downside is you do see a bit of hard drive performance lag because it is performing so much recording work in the background.

I've found that Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-aware plus using Mozilla Firefox for 95% of my web browsing eliminates the spyware problem almost entirely. Try this page for detailed instructions plus links to all the programs.

Spyware are coded to disable detection software

anything that gets popular for spyware detection, will be able to messed with with the spyware itself.

only solution would be disabling installs through browsers, which is up to microsoft now.

it was the stupidest idea to make it easy to have stuff installed directly with the browser without downloading and executing files. now these features are being abused or cracked to install spyware.

This is why you use firefox 95% of the time. Of course some stuff will get by.. but the lastest version of Spybot Search and Destroy runs in the background which should block most stuff before it installs.

There will always be vulnerabilities in software, but taking a few safety measures can save you 99% of the pain.

Yeah I hit up a link the other day and like 30 things got installed at once .... fuckers

I tried adaware, spybot, cwshredder, macafee, hijackthis, bazooka, etc. - none of those could remove it all.

KRL's idea is looking better and better

I use a sandbox program for IE. This way I never got any self-installing spyware through IE.
