Asshole MikeB from Klixxx

The story:
After attending the phoenix forum with my wife, we returned to have received spam(s) from MikeB and Klixxx... we nicely asked to be removed.. he obliged..

We receive spam(s) again last night.. So, I wrote a stern, but polite email.. My wife wrote one also... make writes nothing back to me, but "removed" in a subject line.. end of story.. thats fine..

he writes the following to my wife:
"Hello Hannah
Had to go back to the old list for my computer crashed and l lost everything. So yes l will remove you from my list but in the future when you go to a show and do not want to get e-mails DON?T GIVE YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS. Infact why go to the show??????? You have been removed?.
Thanks Mike B"

Once again.. I must say.. ASSHOLE

hmm :2 cents:

Phoenix 06-21-2004 01:31 PM

i get that to was just about to fill it out..he is offereing a free listing in klixxx

Dwreck 06-21-2004 01:36 PM

I got Klixxx emails too but hell they are great from helping your your biz. Plus Cyndee and Kath are great pleople.

DirtyJ_ExtendedMarketing 06-21-2004 01:41 PM

thats the thing.. they dont help my biz.. i dont care if they are offering a free month of 20 pages of ads... I do not need them, nor do they need me.. so when we politely asked to be removed.. remove us.. do not mail us again.. and yes, if u do make a mistake and do mail us again.. appologize.. do write a rude fucking email.. especially not to someones wife..

I wouldnt have been half as upset if we would have wrote it to me.

webgurl 06-21-2004 01:44 PM

I'm gonna take advantage of his offer , nothing beats free advertisement :)

[illnet]-Tony 06-21-2004 01:49 PM

Yeah thats crazy shit !

It's a common request to be removed , and it should not
be answered with a rude reply. If you go to a show and
write your email down for a Draw , business offer ...whatever
it does not mean that your email is now open game for
someone to hammer it.

A first request should not be answered like that .....nevermind
a second one !!

I'd be really pissed to

ATL_Ryan 06-21-2004 02:38 PM

OMG someone sent me am email and I didn't want it. It's soooo hard to hit delete sometimes. :1orglaugh

WiredGuy 06-21-2004 02:40 PM

I think when they got access to the email list of attendee's, they need to differentiate who's a sponsor program and who's a webmaster. I doubt many webmasters would want to take advantage of these kinds of opportunities but sponsor programs would love to. I get the emails all the time as well from Klixxx and I just delete them, no use to me really.

hmmm, I wonder if maybe I deleted an email without reading it . . . I know I got something from them, but did not notice the free asvertising or I would be all over that

BradM 06-21-2004 03:02 PM

I wouldn't mind so much but the emails are always deformed html and aligned right and 200 brs at the top.

I wonder who makes them cause they need someone new.. lol

gsimm33 06-21-2004 03:15 PM

A man should be allowed to have his email removed, without question.

By NOT removing it, the other emailing efforts we all use are put in (further) jeopardy.

rocki 06-21-2004 03:18 PM

maybe they should just add a remove link to their emails so ppl can remove themselves...

:2 cents:

You could always contact Michael B. at [email protected] -- I'm sure he can give you the information you need.

I am in total agreement with JFK here - Klixx is a great company and the people there are some of the best. At least they take the time to send you an email and advise you instead of a continuation of spam.

cut them some slack - it happens with every company and you shoud have known that when you hand your card over, that you will be contacted.

Kimmykim 06-22-2004 09:02 AM

Actually I can't figure out how the email address I get double emails from him came to be on his list. I don't use it for anything related to business and it's not something people would either guess or know.

Stern but polite? What are you trying to be, his father?

Sounds like a pretty normal suggestion to me. I mean, duh -- if you don't want porn spam, what in God's name are you doing at a porn convention and handing out your e-mail address? If you're going to do this, at least have the half a brain it takes to figure out that you can sign up for a free throw-away e-mail address and hand that out, and then you never have to look at that address again...once you receive any information you were looking for immediately following the show. Seems to me, you just don't have half a brain.

And what do you consider yourself? You call yourself "DirtyJ" and you attend porn conventions with your wife and then complain when you get e-mail. Michael sends you a remove notice, undoubtedly notices that *both* you and your wife felt it necessary to e-mail him, and decided to write her a letter, which was in no way rude, but was a suggestion -- one which you should probably take. It makes no sense to go to a show, hand out your e-mail address and then complain that you don't want to get e-mails. Mistakes happen, human error happens, computer crashes happen, etc. Deal with it.

If you want to be a whiny-ass cry baby, then get out of the adult industry.

Though, I must say, with your third grade spelling and grammar, I doubt you could do much more than the adult industry. If you want to come on a board and complain and sound legitimate, at least use a spell checker and grammar checker. Yours suck.

Oh God, just read that e-mail. You obviously don't bother reading over what you write before sending it.

Get a life and stop your sissy school girl complaining. Klixxx does everything it can to help webmasters.

Like someone else suggested, the DELETE key works wonders. If you haven't learned how to use it yet, you really should take a class. Or, use a spam catcher and train it that mail with "klixxx.com" in it is spam. With all the whining you've done you could've deleted a whole mailbox full of spam in less time.
