    British vessels confiscated by Iran

    "Iran has confiscated three British vessels that had crossed into Iran's territorial waters and arrested eight sailors aboard the ships, the Iranian foreign ministry says."

                                                      it was probably british special forces doing something they shouldnt have been doing... and they got busted.... that's the only reason i can gather the uk government would say they werent aware of any vessels in the area... black ops....

                                                                          Not smart... Can you say wrong country to have taken and done this with... British people don't quite like it when their soldiers are held hostage or as prisioners. Especially IRAN!!!

                                                                          Who here knows exactly were these boats were, no one... They could have been in waters which did not violate the sovern gov. of Iran. Only after the facts are in can the legalities be determined.

                                                                              It might suprise you to know that Iran has a rather sizable navy and has had one for sometime.

                                                                              Not to mention a number of diesel/electric Russian Kilo class submarines that are some of the quietest killers out there.

                                                                              The Iranian Navy is some 18,000 strong, but not that experienced, but still a force to be taken seriously.
