This seems like a fuckin monster camara.
I been shooting all kinds of different these days gettin all I can about photography.

Not just Nudes, I am diggin gettin tree's, Leaves and Buildings, far shots anything that seems detailed. This Camara looks like the next Generation.

... nope, NOT for me, actually it's not a DSRL, it's a fixed lens, extremely grainy images due to very small CCD... in a word, not a pRO camera at all...

that is a nice prosumer camera.. but if u are serious about photography there are only 3 names.. canon, nikon and fuji.

That is it!

You will not see a pro shooter using that camera for any kind of real job.. *unless sony is paying him to use it*

I own this SONY camera...

I like it... but... after buying it... I read several reviews...

and noticed some small problems...


color fringing is one...


have a look at the canons and fuji's


but this sony isnt bad.

Exactly, the fringing is getting to me.

Looks interesting but I'd still stick with Canon DSLRs

My favourite has always been Minolta and Mamiya. I'm still waiting for the release od the digital minolta SLR. It should be a great camera.

Pentax Has a DSLR coming out REALLY Soon i believe its going to be in the 11.0 MP Range...Look for it in about a month...If your into serious Photography...Thats what youd go with...Read up on it @ DPReview

Ill stick with my Kodak pro/n at 14 megs its more than enough for web work.

Nope 10D or D70 is better even at 6Mp.

Megapixels aren't everything...

I guarantee u that a 6MP by canon or nikon will give better results than a sony 8 mp..

I would never ever ever ever ever ever use a Sony for digital pictures ever ever ever ever ever ever again. Their color is inaccurate, they don't even come close to licking the boots of Canons or Nikons in comparable price ranges. If you're happy with it though, good luck.

true, it is not a pro camera, and you are correct about small ccd and grainy images.

but it is a very interesting camera, i played with one recently while waiting for my wife at bestbuy.

it is very well made, has manual focus, and has the twist body that can allow interesting low or high level shots.

i think for web work it would be OK.

BTW, a new sleeper digicam (again not a pro dslr) is the leica digilux 2. it is expensive, and i would buy it if it used CF flash. for web work i think it would be outstanding.
