They keep them at half mast for as long as the president orders them that way, which is normaly 30 days.

There is nothing wrong with showing respect to Reagan, the man served his country well. But that bullshit that "supposed" to be respect was just another gross overplay that makes a mockery out of "state funerals".

No doubt there was good reason to have a media frenzy that exceeded any "state funeral" - ever. Some call it "obvious distraction" with a touch of patriotic mass deception.. sad shit.

Yes, I disagree. Most of the time people use the term "the masses" to refer to the large group of people who disagree with them. Usually "the masses" are considered to be the large, ignorant group of rabble who have an opinion different than "I" who somehow haven't the intellect to be influenced by the same writings and philosophies as "we". Moreover, "the masses" usually don't have access to the same information as "I" and are probably "victims of propaganda" or alternatively have been "brainwashed" - sometimes both.

I don't actually use the term myself - other than this thread, of course.
