let's say nothing, the usual monthly drop, same traffic, same clicks, less sales.

rowan 06-19-2004 09:45 PM

I just posted about this on another board.

past 7 days:

- 1:3197 ratio (about 3-4 times worse than normal)
- initial sales about a quarter of the normal level
- final payout less than half normal level

Traffic hasn't changed, but the signup levels sure have. I went for 4 days without a single initial sale.

Ever consider that some days are just slower?

Why does CCbill get hacked on so much? Because they are the biggest.

Just like when someone says "Fast food" you IMMEDIATLY think of Mcdonalds.

It may not JUST be ccbill folks.

it may not be ccbill of course, but then i check my traffic sources, the same, traffic amount, the same, clicks, the same, then i check gfy and there's at least 1 thread about ccbill...

Of course there are little fluctuations all the time, but 8+ months of stability and then half your revenue drops? is the so called summer slowdown in full effect now?

prostock 06-19-2004 10:37 PM

I to would have to agree here on a few things ,
1 we have staring pushing our own stuff much harder the last 9 days and havnt seen a increase that we should see . and the sale are down , tho i use verotel for our diaper sites and that site as well we have been pushing much harder and there is a nice growth there . So i would have to say maybe there is a bit more scabin goin on . People have to remeber old shit webmasters brought this on from all the careless that went on the games that was played and all that , to be a good buisness person you are to be able to ride the good and the bad and still be happy and just look for ways to keep it to more good then bad
JUST MY :2 cents: :2 cents:

I want to ask this , for no one else has . Are you pushing your own site or to a program ? if to a program why are you not looking to it as well , but if it is your own program then look at your trafic look and see if there is a change where it is now coming from , just for it is the same amount doesnt mean it is the same good trafic . people do like to play games and get you going with good trafic then slowly change you over to there more shit trafic
again my :2 cents:

It is simply summer guys!

I am in business since 97 and every June to September it is getting slower. People are outside and doing other stuff (mainly looking at women in bikinies e.g.)

This simply is a fact if you mainly market to the US or European market. As SOuthamerica and Australia only makes a very small potion of the customers there is nothing you can do about it

Its a sad fact but thank god the summer is almost a 3rd over, at least of the summer slowdown months, June, July, August. Hard to enjoy the summer when the money slows down.

petepete 06-19-2004 11:40 PM

Yeah... but regarding various processors... I had customers who mailed me that they wanted to sign up but didn't trust Verotel, as they were used to more 'established' names like Ibill or ccbill on the signup form.

As far as the 'fluctuations'... try to count your 'averages' based on a longer period... not day by day, not week by week, not even month... I know it's frustrating when you have fewer sales over a couple of days but take into account that on other days sales are up.

foolio 06-20-2004 12:02 AM

I am having my best week of the year now - in both my aff programs and my main site :Graucho

Angelie 06-20-2004 12:25 AM

Yeah today sucks on sales..........

twistyneck 06-20-2004 12:39 AM

Very solid week here. Nothing crazy, but good nonetheless. :thumbsup

So 8 month long ccbill does great work for you, then things go slower ... and thats ccbill's fault then ?

Track your outgoing traffic ... ip, country enz then you will get a much better picture of what could be going on :winkwink:

I've been using verotel for over a year and I'm not saying it's 'bad' or something.

HarlotCash Dyker 06-20-2004 05:47 AM

Since 1996, I have never once gone over 7% declines (Average for the week).
Last week, my declines were 48%
Saturday showed 0 declines, yet my sales were through the floor.
My ratio of page views - sign ups - declines is normally 10% - 7% Last week my ratio from page views to sign ups was 0.3%!

"Denials" levels are the same as weeks or years ago ... Why do you always choose ccbill to blame?
Try to bitch on good weather, vacations, euro2004 or expensive gasoline ..
In Germany last month they had a 30% decrease in new cars sales and same increase of public transport use...

CCbill is only taking credit cards from your customers and they were ALWAYS blocking high risk credit cards.
I think CCbill is more stable then ever and they are doing great job providing billing services despite the problems and regulations we all have as a high risk business.

I think you forget that the traffic is the same .. its just the sales thats lower..

So .. people are stilling surfing and clicking .. just not buying ... so NO, its not because they're watching EURO2004 og because the waether is hot.. Don't you fuck your wife/gf because its EURO2004 ?

Do you think they are the biggest? I often wonder if CC Bill or Epoch is bigger. My thought has been that CC Bill has far more sites but Epoch does more transactions. Either way, they are probably both over the 30,000 new joins a day mark. Hell, they might be over 50,000.

I would say I Bill is the biggest by far.

I been using verotel for over a year too and have problems.. quite a bit of it too when they do not remove user/pass from my pass file and let users get access for 9 months for free til I manually go thru every pass to see if they're valid. I have a problem with their script letting hackers add passes to my site everyday. I have a prob with them letting same IP keep using diff fake checks to signup (doesn't happen with CCBill), I have a prob with their unusual # of 900 CBs.. should tell you why I would much prefer CCBill over verotel :winkwink:
