They have now announced his replacement. Two thirds of known al Qaeda top leaders have been killed or captured...and of course they will be replaced...but the question is...will the replacements be equally resourceful. One of our former military commanders has made the statment "it is like promoting an inexperienced 2nd Lt. to Col."

The "confirmation" takes the form of messages posted to an Islamist website. It is claimed that al Qaeda posts here and, of course, you can believe *everything* you read on the internet.
