As if non smokers didn't have enough of their own way with seperate eating areas with seperate ventalation, they've reached their nosy cunt bitch noses into bars and smoking sections and now us smokers can't smoke anywhere.
Fuck massachusetts.... |

All the Irish will move back to the old sod if they can't smoke :glugglug |

I LOVE IT. I cant stand smoking. Remember that comerical where all the puffers are outside and Death is standing there and then he looks at his watch? That commerical still makes me laugh. I also love it when on a cold day you drive past an office building and you see 30 smokers freezing in a 0 degree day just to get their silly little fix. It's quite pathetic actually.
Today is not the time to be a smoker. It's not like the 60's when people were sparking up during congressional meetings. Stop looking at smoking as a right: it isnt. It's a privaledge; and as long as it can be considered harmful at certain times or harmful in certain places it will be banned. Simplest thing to do is quit.. Face it, the days of smoking being excepted and being hip died with james dean. |
I'm happy no one is smoking in the bars anymore.

I have mixed feelings about this. I hate intrusive government. I don't smoke and it didn't bother me when people could smoke in Florida restaurants. Yet it was a landslide referendum that banned smoking in public places here in Florida. Direct Democracy and the people spoke. The people banned smoking, not the government. I have to respect that.
Should the government protect us from other people? I say yes. Should the government protect us from ourselves? I think mostly no. However I don't think crack should legal. There's really no happy medium for all this stuff. You have to live with some negative consequences no matter which way such things go. |
