Continental Airlines is shit!
How the fuck does this place stay in business? I flew continental to Orlando on Tuesday - the whole fucking thing ended up being retarded. We ended up sitting on the plane for 2 fucking hours in Newark while they began to troubleshoot problems with the engine. After an hour had passed by, the bitch serving first class refused to serve me and my co-workers any more alcohol since we hadn't even taken off yet....as if that's an excuse, gimme my free liquor bitch!
After 2 hours of sitting there, they finally tell us we're getting a new plane - 5 hour delay waiting for the new plane. In return, while in line they handed out vouchers for "free alcohol" during the flight...guess what bitches, first class already has free alcohol - what fucking good does this do me? What kind of fucking customer service is that? To make matters worse, a 15 minute delay on the way back from Orlando made me miss my connecting flight in Newark - Continental then refused to give me a rental car, but made me take the shuttle bus to the Hotel they booked for me. Fucking bullshit all around. Word to the wise, never fly continental. :feels-hot  |
I've never had any problems flying continental.
Continental/AA is for sure the very best carrier for traveling with pets. Would you have prefered they just rushed through checking the engine, and sent you on your way? I'd rather wait 5 hours on the ground, than spend even 5 seconds in the air with a questionable engine. |

1. Larger fleet so they can accomidate people faster when this situation happens. 2. Better customer service! We got jack shit for a 7 hour delay; just because we were flying first class. People in coach got free liquor, they received customer service - but we in first class, whom paid 5x more, were penalized. That's customer service? Bullshit. Not to mention, the fucking customer service rep sent me to the wrong fucking hotel on the way back from Orlando when I missed my flight because of ANOTHER delay. |
the delay is not an excuse, but as long as they get you safer to your destination, i guess they did their job.
they need to buy new planes too, heard they got the crap ones |
You don't fly much do you?

And if you can afford first class, are you seriously this pissed off because other people got free alcohol too? What would you like, a free BJ from the captain?
Shit happens. |

Call and ask about getting some money back if it's that important to you. I'm sure they'll think of something to try and help out a frequent flyer such as yourself. |

You're missing the point tho - I don't care about free drinks. Hell, I had 7 beer in the Presidents Club in Newark, and then had 6 or 7 vodka & OJ's on the plane followed by a few other mixed drinks and wine with dinner.... and that was all free. What is boils down too, is they were prepared to offer everybody in coach something for their problems...but to the people that paid the most...their attitude was we already received enough in exchange as we have better seats/food/alcohol? Their lack of customer service, when it really counted (during the delays - not if I were to call them today), is enough that I will now book all of my companies flights thru Air Canada/United - which is about a loss of 30-35 tickets/month to Continental considering how many members of my team travel with me. It may not make a difference in their profit, but I'll be sure to spread the word as I'm doing now on GFY. |
Now you know that man?:1orglaugh

I always fly America West. Not intentionally, it just happens. Some of their planes are pretty nice, others suck. The planes from Phoenix to San Diego are terrible. Really old pieces of shit. But the others seem fine.

Continental is usually pretty good but every so often they fuck up royally. The last flight I took on CO left one of my two bags in Newark. The upside is they gave me $75 in voucher and the bag landed on the next flight in - which was 30 minutes later.
Nonetheless, I have never had a 100% great experience on any airline. Continental just seems to fuck up less. And their customer service isn't that great when they do, but it's WAY better than American. You can write a letter, tell them you bought two J tickets and describe your experiences in vivid detail, and tell them that after that experience you should expect a pair of free round trip first class international tickets (as you did pay full fare for international tickets). And just so you know, you do NOT have elite status on Continental according to that ticket. If you did it would have your status level printed on the upper right of the gate ticket and underneath your name and date on your passenger receipt. You should get a Onepass account and see if they will put your last couple flights on the account. You get extra miles on a J fare. |
