The new trend with advertising
 

You pay for banners or links and you are told you will be live within a day or two and pretty much unless you run after the mother fucker you dont get what you paid for.

So here is the deal, I purchased 7 spots from different people in the past few days using paypal, by 3PM today if I dont see my ads live paypal will be contacted and I will get my money back.

I have better things to do then run after people on a saturday for shit I payed for.

b2b advertising? paysite advertising? gallery traffic? enquiring minds wanna know....

I can't say I'm surprised. PPC SE marketing has been a very pleasant experience by comparison.

Sheesh, I tell ya, some people just don't know how to treat customers.

Dont blame you, it can be frustrating.

I would tell the person,banner up first then you get paid.

For prepaid deals I'd put the ad online while talking on ICQ and get the payment a few minutes after it's online.

People forget that deals like that might "recur" (sp?) month after month

EB, not sure if you are up-to-date, but PayPal is now even shuting down accounts for advertising if they catch wind of any type of adult domains involved.

So I'd be careful about raising a fuss to paypal, especially if its for your tushy stuff, etc.

Sad reality is, it is NOT a new trend at all.
