From what I heard, they got the license plate on the car from a video surveillance cam which captured them in the process of dumping Johnson's body.

They tracked down the vehicles owner, there was a police pursuit and then a gun battle.

To protect ourselves we have to police the world. It's not like the 1800's or even 1950's where we could stay inside our borders and be protected. Now days they have missles that can fly thousands of miles and hit us. Thus we have to go to them now.
