Anybody Have Their Notepad Screw Up?
 

Really wierd...Bloody thing won't open ..it goes into dos mode and I have tried running my Norton and go back and it still won't work..I also have tried my various Spyware programs,but can't find anything...blast it anyways :BangBang: Is this scumware?

If my PC has been on for a long time and most of my RAM is tied up, then sometimes Excell won't open for me.

But once I reboot and that RAM is cleared there's no problem.

Try rebooting if your PC has been on for a long time.

Opening in DOS? What version of windows are you running? I'm no expert but usually it helps the people familure with such things if you state what OS you are running etc.

spywares dont damage your pc. It looks like a virus, but try reboot as well because what kush said is valid.

the godamn shit got me last month. It embeds itself into notepad.exe

I couldnt even go back on XP and fix it, so now my notepad is quarentined...fucking pisses me off.

Where can I get notepad to download and load ontop of the old one?

Yea I experienced the same thing when I hit a site 2 weeks ago. Drop Trojan or some shit. I can't remember the exact name. It was pretty easy to get rid of but aggravating nonetheless.

Well you can always get a program called Programmers Notepad which is pretty decent and free and set it as your default. Also you could always use Mozilla Firefox as your default browser and not get hit with all this shit that tags you when you browse. I've been IE free for a month now and my last few spyware/virus scans came up negative. Unlike when I used IE and would always get a few per scan.
