Who owns Board Tracker? It seems like they only track the first post.

Who owns Board Tracker? It seems like they only track the first post. It's a great program and I'd recommend it to anyone but I want to know if my keywords are mentioned in the 47th post. Can anyone tell me if my theory is right and if there is a better tracking software system out there?

try boardticker.com, never used it myself though

Well, a competing board has a thread alert feature that notifies you regardless of post because it is their own database. Regarding your statement, it isn't a problem for the tracker so much as it is for the board. But I suppose if BT was hitting the board hard the board owner would rightly block the tracker's IP. I think I'd piss a ton of guys off if I built something that hammered the boards via proxies.

All I know is that these types of notifications are very valuable. I wish there was a solution.

I pulled out one of their biz cards that I have and the owner is
Ron K.
[email protected]

Just give me a buzz if you want more info, but i'd rather not post his icq and telephone # on the board.

Ron Kaas owns board tracker... he's a good guy in my books :)
