S.O.S Im having DVD writer problems. Please help.
I just bought a Cendyne external dvd writter for my laptop and every time i plug it in to my usb hub i get the following error message.
High speed usb device plugged into non usb hub. the mass usb storage device will function at a reduced wieght. you must add a high speed usb host controller to this computer for maximum resluts. How do I add a highspeed usb device? is this possible on my laptop? How much does it cost? can I bypass this cause I would really like to burn some dvd's tonight. Thanks |
upgrade the pc to USB 2.0
you prob have the older USB 1.1 something. But a USB 2.0 controller card costs a few bucks. |
actually forgot it was a laptop
You can still use it but it will run slower as is. |

You can still use it as is , it will just be a little slower. Give it a test and see if the speed is acceptable./ |
