CNN just said the guy that beheaded Paul Johnson has been killed in Saudi Arabia.

The Koran does say beheading can be used as a punishment .. But only after a trial, and with the "Blessing" of Muslim Clerics.

It does not say that you may kidnap people and cut their heads off.

Justice would have been better served if this man was convicted, denounced by Muslim Clerics, and beheaded himself.

His death is in and of it's self a good start though.

Yeah, I don't think it was right to just kill him without a trial, but since they said it was a seige, he could have been killed in a firefight. I don't know if they just went in with the intent of killing him or capturing him or what.
