Starting New Amateur Site

I am about to start a new personal amateur site with a free area & paid members side. I already have a "following" since I am on 9 well run pic membership sites and do live video through seveal companies also. I have my own site up, but on a free host. The free site averages 5,000 unique hits a day with advertising only on the other sites I am posted on. My question is since I am getting my own domain name and serious advertising is about to begin, who would be a good PAY host to use & how much space & bandwidth should I look into getting?

I dont know how much bandwidth or hd space an amateur site would need, but I'd suggest talking to some other amateurs. But as far as hosting goes I use xxxwebhosting and cpcyberwurx and havent had a drama with either.

Things you should keep in mind when choosing your host for your site:

1. How much will they charge if you need more disk space. Will it be a one-time charge or a monthly charge.

2. How much will they charge for bandwidth overages. Also if it is easy to go up in plans if you need more bw.

You need to keep those two questions in mind because as your site grows so will your traffic and you will need more disk space and more bandwidth down the road. You don't want to get hit with the unexpected bill 3x the amount of your normal bill because your host charges $5 a gig overage.
