Webmasters - The Documentry - $ 2 Million USD Production Budget
 

Keeping true to the docu-soap genre the narrative style will be based on following the
everyday lives of our characters to capture dynamic, captivating and authentic human
stories. No narration will be used to add context to these stories. The action, challenges and emotions will unfold in a natural and self-explanatory way.

Three main interviews will be conducted with each of our characters at the beginning,
middle and end of our journey with them. These intimate interviews will be used to
establish their background, upcoming challenges and goals, and to highlight their
progress towards these goals as the summer advances.


A non-obtrusive, fly-on-the-wall shooting technique will be used to capture the greatest
intimacy from situations. The majority of the footage will be handheld, shot with a Sony
DSR 500 DV-cam using natural and available light.


Through our principle characters we will meet countless other secondary characters who
are on the periphery of the industry. These are people who will pop in and out of our
main characters? lives, helping to round out their stories.

We are still looking for supporting characters :

The Dream Surfer: the web porn user who spends hours a day surfing the sites of his
favorite performers with the hope that one day he will be able to meet her? or him.
Many local stars have meet and greet sessions at public events, and one of these just
might be the opportunity for our user to encounter, in the flesh, his or her own fantasy.

The New Girl, fresh off the bus from the countryside with a web dream of her
own_to impress one of the many producers and find stardom on the world-wide-
web. Will she have what it takes to become a success, or will she be used up and spat
out by the system like so many others?

The Lackey, always willing to do what the boss says, with no task being too low.
Desperate just to get a start in the industry, he will do whatever is asked of him, hoping
only that he will be noticed.

The Has-Been, always letting people know that he/she was there from the beginning
and, even though business isn?t what it used to be, still has a plan to make it back to the
top of the game.

The Techno-Geek, who helps provide all the computer code that allows these
webmasters to make their money. After receiving a degree in computer science, who
would have the heart to tell their parents about the industry that has given them a job?

The Boyfriend, who knows that his girlfriend works in porn and doesn?t like it one bit. He
would love to see her get out of it, but at the same time knows that nothing will interfere
with her dream.

The Crusader, who will show up to protest at the conventions that our characters will be
attending over the summer. He/she believes that pornography is responsible for the
degradation of society, and is determined that his/her voice must be heard.

The Party-Goer, whom nobody really knows all that well, but always seems to wiggle
his/her way into the industry parties.

We have been working on this project for over a year. The series has been bought by showcase and the money is already being used.

This is a docu-soap, so it does'nt matter what period the industry is in . You know one those reality TV shows .

Can I play the role of newbie turned into an eccentric millionaire through easy web riches? But with a subplot that I'm not really doing all that great, I'm just blowing every penny I make and spending all my inheritance money to try to look cool!
