Best areas around L.A.

There might be plans in my future to move around the L.A. area. What are the best places around that area.

escorpio 06-17-2004 10:48 PM

Riverside :thumbsup

I hear they are looking for some replacement Laker fans.... maybe you can hang near the Staple Center. hehe

baddog 06-17-2004 10:51 PM

Please don't . . . we are getting ready to have a huge earthquake, followed by a tsunami, mudslides, and fires . . .you won't like it, trust me

Actually cockroaches thrive in metropolitan areas like LA, not Riverside. But since you asked, do you telecommute or plan on driving to work? I live in Chino and it is nice to be in the middle of the beach and mountains since you can do both into the winter. Another good spot is Lake Arrowhead. Homes are decently cheap compaired to sea level too.

the husband grew up in Manhattan Beach. He has said there were no roaches there.

The five weeks I spent in Riverside were enough for me, thanks.

Please stay where you are, we really don't want you . . . seriously . . . . nothing personal, we don't want anyone new. . . . we will be quite rude to you, and someone will probably take shots at you on the freeway.

You will hate it here. Stay in Hawaii, or try North Dakota

ColetteX 06-17-2004 11:56 PM

southbay/ south of LAX north of Long Beach... 20 degrees cooler than 20 miles inland... safer.. they have their own police dept.'s and don't use LAPD ... but i suggest staying relatively close to PCH and the beach if you want nice neighborhoods...

or go north.. cities off of the 101 are nice.. all the way up past Santa Barbara.. but thats Ventura County...

I would have to agree. We dont need anymore people here. If you must come try Riverside county. Orange county is something like the 4th most expensive place to live in the US and LA county cant possibly squeeze another person in. I hear Palm Springs is nice.

baddog 06-18-2004 12:05 AM

Fresno and Coalinga are relly nice. . . . it is almost like being in Hawaii

thanks...i'll keep those in mind...it doesn't have to be in L.A. just around the general area.

Why go to LA?

Why not go to San Diego... Im sure living in Hawaii you'll miss the beach if you move to LA County.

Yeah, we don't have a beach

ItBurnsWhenIpee 06-18-2004 12:45 AM

You won't miss the beach if you move to the beach in LA! Try the South Bay area. Manhattan Beach is where I'm moving. It's awesome.

All that stuff you see on TV is just shot on a sound stage. It is all mirrors. NASA moon landing kind of stuff.

reynold 06-18-2004 01:21 AM

Moral lesson of this thread: Don't move to LA. :1orglaugh

pure energy 06-18-2004 02:33 AM

Why do you want to move the LA anyway?
