Anyone else see the ads on FOX tonight? Anyone else think they sucked ass?

I think they got a ways to go before Netflix feels any heat.

cosis 06-17-2004 09:03 PM

Yeah right Netflix stock is about to be shit, they have gone without any competition until now.... Now they have Gameznflix, Wal-mart, Blockbuster all coming at them....... if you hold any stock sell now

B40 06-17-2004 09:11 PM

Been following this stock the past few days after hearing about it here a few times...

How's Gamesnflix different from NetFlix? Besides the fact that they offer games too. I don't think they have either one here in Canada, so I can't try them out myself :(

cosis 06-17-2004 09:13 PM

Cheaper than Netflix by $3.50/month

How many NetFlix customers will switch over to Gameznflix just cause they're cheaper? What about quality wise?

Also, anybody know the current subscriber base of NFLX vs GZFX?

Tons of people havent even heard of Netflix yet, they can go after the new customers. I talked with some family that dont use the internet for much more than email and they had never heard of Netflix.

GZFX is a brand new company, you can't compare the subscriber base. I believe NFLX has 2 million now.... they are losing money however with such a quick turn around in sending out DVD's. That is why they upped the price.

Offering games is a big feature, I am not into games but yes I think it will bring a lot of NFLX customers over...

ztik 06-17-2004 09:19 PM

Have you ever seen a netflix ad on fox? I havn't...
GamezNFlix will rise above them, they just need a few minor adjustments to their website. IMO They are going nowhere but up

I know they're newer, but just wanted to get an idea of current subscriber bases vs. market cap.

Any info on their logistic networks?

I think they will go up, but solely on hype. If Netflix is losing money you can be sure the GamezNFlix business model will not show profits for a long time if at all.

Netflix is losing money purely on the fact they are so big, Gameznflix being a new upstart is going to be a big attraction for investors.... especially since shares are still cheap to buy right now...

4Pics 06-17-2004 10:08 PM

netflix has more dvds, so i'll keep my membership there.

Besides Walmart doesnt need money.

I hope so, but they are down 11% over two days. The thing about stuff like this is as soon as the hype fades there are no numbers to back up any share value and it may plummet.

cosis 06-18-2004 11:24 AM

patience it will payoff in the end :thumbsup

actually gzfx has more dvds as well as the addition of games. the commercials star the dell dude, too.... the new version of the website was supposed to have been launched a few weeks back, and then perhaps yesterday with the airing of the commercials, but they havent released yet. they better get it rollin now that they have national exposure. i have a good deal invested in this stock.

Sosa 06-18-2004 12:22 PM

I bought more stocks in it today while it dropped. Hopefully they get the site gets launched soon and we see a nice profit next week.

The site is already launched isn't it?

Ricky Dynamite 06-18-2004 01:13 PM

All I know is that their support fucking sucks. I returned my games two weeks ago, wanted to cancel, but can't because they didn't update my queue. They're just charging for nothing. Crap. I want NetFlix back.

cosis 06-26-2004 04:45 PM

I still say this stock is going to take off, traffic is increasing and the national TV commercials are scheduled to be released.... just bought more shares on Friday :)

Sosa hit me up on ICQ sometime 120571363

go back to nutflix then - last I checked it wasn't difficult to signup

Shoplifter 07-13-2004 01:20 PM

Thank god I sold out of this one. I am predicting .04 in 10 days.

while the stock is tumbling now, i bet it goes back up once the site gets all its bugs out... similar to march when it dropped down and shot right back up. it's a shame that the company had so much potential but then decided to rush and release such a buggy and shitty website.

Definately, big oppurtunity to buy :thumbsup

They haven't even launched the national tv campaign yet... Throwing the commercials on Fox was a mistake because they were not ready, but they are getting there and it will break big...

Thank god I didn't get into this...

It seems odd to me that a logistics company would outsource all their warehousing and logistic operations.

And you're going to invest in a company that fucked up by spending advertising $ when the site wasn't even ready? Who's the head of sales?

I'm staying away from this one for now

Sosa 07-13-2004 03:50 PM

I'm hoping they turn around also, I have around $4500 into GZFX right now.

Smart move. Also, check out the operating income:) It's a sinking ship. Maybe you can get lucky for the short term. But if you're in this for 1+ years -> don't say I didn't warn you:)

Ya they paid over $1 million in consulting fees last quarter...not sure for what...they outsource their core activities, pay consultants $1 million when they're barely making any money...

Even Netflix is having trouble and they have a far superior logistics network. How can GZFX compete on price when they have a very small client base and are outsourcing all their warehousing and logistics?

cosis 07-13-2004 04:17 PM

Do you think all companies skyrocketed when they first begun? This company is barely off the ground, I do not know why you expect to see such amazing numbers right now...... You can check out updates for the advertising launch here:

Majorpaydave 07-13-2004 04:19 PM

I would defiantly stay away from netflix stock its been taking a dump for the last couple of months.

Obviously I don't expect the company to sky rocket when it's just starting. But, there are a few reasons why I wouldn't invest in GZFX. The main reason being they are trying to penetrate the market with a low cost strategy, yet they are outsourcing all their logistics. That does not make any sense to me at all.

It might be due for a short spike tomorrow or in the near future, but in the long run, I don't see this being the next big thing.

Anyone buy today? It's up 30% so far :)

Sosa 07-14-2004 10:58 AM

I don't have funds in my account and waiting on some affiliate checks so I don't have any extra cash to throw at it right now. I know a few people who got in early this morning though.

cosis 07-14-2004 11:01 AM

I love watching this stock, and Acacia down almost 50% is fun to watch also :1orglaugh

The surprise is that it took a month.

Why everyone looks at crap like this instead of real stocks I don't know. At the same time as this BA went up 25%, and it will stay up.

Got any other stock picks?
