I have to tell you, when someone says posing nude degrades women it infuriates me. Even more so if they mention something about making women "sex objects".

MEN once tried to force women into hiding their sexuality, with a lot of success. SOME women still let that policy run their life. I can't stand the thought of women letting the policy of men dictate what they do in life.

So... on to posing nude. Does nudity make a woman a "sex object"? Let's see... we were born naked, we take our clothes off every day to bathe, and we can't take our clothes with us when we leave this planet. I don't understand why people in this country can't figure out what most of Europe has realized for years: there is NOTHING wrong with being naked.

So what about posing erotically? Does THAT make a woman a "sex object"? No way! The fact is, women are sexual BEINGS. Hiding that simply gives power to the men who have told women over the years that they must behave in certain ways in order to be a "lady". The SAD thing is: even today WOMEN FALL FOR THAT LINE OF BULLSHIT!!

So WHAT if posing nude turns a man on ?!? Sometimes a BLOWING BREEZE turns a man on. It's NOT hard to do. Have you noticed how STUPID men act when they're really turned on? So WHO is in control? The man? Absolutely NOT! A woman could tell him to do ALMOST ANYTHING at that point and he'd do it JUST TO MAKE HER HAPPY.

I have to admit, I was nervous the first time I posed nude. I was also a little excited by the thought. Once I "pulled the trigger" and did it, I loved it! It was strangely liberating! I realized that the insecurities I had about my body were ridiculous. Why should I WANT to fit the mold that men say is the "PERFECT WOMAN"? And why did I let those ideas make me feel insecure about myself? Why?

My final thoughts on posing nude: more women need to break free from the ignorant rules our ultra conservative society says we must follow and JUST DO IT!

I think a better question is:

Where did she find the time between getting naked and her kitchen duties to write this?

Degrade *all* women? No.

Degrade *some* women? Yes. But only the ones who allow it.

I competely agree with what your model wrote...personally I found posing nude to be a sexually liberating experience. Although there are many vocal critics of my chosen career, I love my job and I am very proud of who I am both personally and professionally.
