i just wanted to create a properly labeled version of this topic .

Whats the best way to figure out country and REGION of a surfer, ie i want to redirect traffic from a certain state/country because of laws in that area.

the best ive found (for free) is http://ip-to-country.sapphiresoft.co.uk/ , but i tried to sign up for that going on 3 days ago and still havent been set up.

So what is there to use for free out there? Its a tough google to get something good.

bump, anyone using anything? thought someone would because of the different states obscenity laws
