canon has a new one coming out that's 8mp saw it in a new ad recently ... don't recall the name. lenses are pricey on all of the higher end slrs though so keep that in mind when shopping

I have a 10D that i use for fun and fucking around shots. I would have to tell you steer the other way, it's way too much camera for fun shots. I'm still learning to use it, and its been a few months allready. :2 cents:

Canon 10D or 300. Great cameras and best series of available lenses.

canon rebel is really good too... for its price its the best...very easy to use...i havent even opend the manual yet... only bad side to it is it comes with a cheesy lense.

I bought a 300D (AKA Digital Rebel) and I wish I'd spent the extra bucks for a 10D. At that time I didn't know I would end up buying a lens that cost almost as much as the camera body, which makes the price diff between the 300D and the 10D much less significant. :Graucho

The other reason I wish I had a 10D is that I now also have an EOS 33V, which is basically the film version of the 10D. People say the 300D is just a watered down version of the 10D but it also has a different interface and control layout. Switching between the two cameras gets a bit confusing sometimes. :)
