Do you really want everyone to see where you are though in a live feed?

What if you're having some drinks with the guys after work and some of the girls from the office are hangin with you and your wife calls. Its innocent but how will it appear on video?

My friend in Sweden has had one for awhile. I did have the website to the company, but I lost it. I'll be there in a couple weeks, maybe I can buy one and bring it back and sell it on eBay to some unsuspecting person. Damn, that's actually a good idea. Thanks KRL. :thumbsup

We are LONG overdue for this technology. Japan has had this technology for years now, and we're finally getting it. I really want to knock the engineers over the head that invented "camera phones" that aren't video enabled, and don't face the user for this type of application.

Seems they really missed the boat on this one. But I'm glad it's finally coming.

From what I hear they work real well. You can record like 30 seconds clips and stuff too.

Kinda cool, but it will probably generate a lot of problems like you described...

we got them here in holland too, but its not just the phone obviously, you need a fast network as well, theyre bringing pricing down on that umts network now so i guess in a yr or so everyone will have it... already saw a guy last week who received a MMS with a naked vid of his gf in the supermarket he opened his flipphone and there she was and everyone looked and enjoyed her hehe i love technology :1orglaugh

just saw this on the vodafone site $250 and the first phone with streaming video, but only in 5 larger cities in holland end of the year 70% will be covered of holland and more phones will follow

People seem to be confused with the term "video cell phones"

KRL is referring to a real time video conversation between two cell phone users. AFAIK this is not yet available in the US or most other places.

[edit: saw other thread, apparently you can now send live video from comp to cell]

On the other hand, cell phones capable of recording and playing video or sending a clip with MMS have been out for several months. :)
