Who am I speaking to?
 

One of my biggest pet peeves is people that have no phone etiquette. I swear some people have never been taught manners.

I just got a phone call. I say "hello" as usual. "Who am I speaking to?" "No fucker, who am *I* speaking to?! YOU called me. Have the common decency to introduce yourself and ASK for the person you wish to speak with. Now who the fuck are you looking for?" "I'm looking for Ryan, this is his grandfather."

Damn I just got owned!

sounds like the time I answered the phone and there was silence on the other end.. so I said "welcome to Bettys house of whores" which one would you like to fuck today"...it was my dad.

Manners costs nothing, everyone should have them.

:1orglaugh It's all good. To all of us that have talked way too much on the phone...it's hard to even realize what the actual rules are. Especially if you talk to people from lots of different countries, etc.

The absolute best was when I answered my mothers phone a couple of years back... I said "Hello" the caller said, "Hello". I said, "Hellllo" he said "Hello". This went on for like 2 minutes until I finally said, "Listen mother fucker, you called me, who the fuck are you" he replied, "who are you?"..


At this point I was pissed.... Hung up on him.... Next thing yanno the phone rings again... By this time I was like fuck off... Then my lil brother runs in grabs the phone and starts yapping away... I was like wtf... Turns out the dude who called when I answered was one of his friends who is also a lil "slow".... It was funny as all hell...

We still talk about this story to this day.

better then the time the phone kept ringing... i would answer and they would just stay quiet.... repeated a few more times... i finally went off on them and hung up and they stopped calling...


...come to find out the next day it was my moms sister, her cell phone sucks and it wouldnt let her be heard... yet sh heard every word that i said... clearly too :( :1orglaugh

I remember in college and a guy I was dating called. We had a pretty sexy call until I realized 5 minutes into the call it was guy I had just met who had the same name (and same sounding voice - I swear!). It was a wee difficult to get back to anything decent after that. :winkwink:

I have another one... A few hours ago I layed down to rest my head cause it was pounding... Next thing the phone rings... and rings and rings and rings... I was like voicemail this motherfucker...

But alas no voicemail was let... So it rang again... I answered it with a big........."YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"


Turn out to be juicy... He was all excited.... I think he finaly found a pube....

ya thats a bit annoying.

someone calls and youn say hello, they say hold please.
