People and their stupidity, and the bullshit of doing business via email

Why would you order something from the wrong site, not read the instructions and then bitch when things take too long to get sorted out via email?

Am I the only one who likes to do business via ICQ?

Is'nt it so much easier and faster? NO bullshit, just straightforward, on-time execution of plans and actions.

Face to face is always the best, however not always logistically possible.

The phone is always nice for a somewhat more personal touch, however, email / chatting can provide valuable logs as to what really went down.

It all depends. Contracts are always emailed to customers for signature and faxed back in for services.

all deals have to have records kept.

They all have their pluses and minuses.

ICQ tracks, but then it still eats messages to and from. Plus I'm not an "I keep ICQ up 24 hours a day person".

Email is great especially when two people are in verrrrry different time zones.

Phone is best. But yes it works best with people you know.

If it's the first time you've done business with someone, I prefer to all email or email that supplements the phone so there is something there in black and white and they can't say "but you said such-and-such on the phone". That way there's still a printable record with the email followup.
