Is this business too informal?

I would like to see an increase in legal and binding contracts between parties. Too many times people dont hold up their end of the bargain. It is entirely too loose i find.

Look for a proper contract from me from now on, no more handshake deals.

its great to have friends on here - but business is business and I have seen friends and family split over a dollar.

get everything in writing.. and a proper contract so that if the business goes sour - you wont end up posting it on here and hear everyone say to you,... "should have got it in writing"

On the other hand, there are not too many industries like ours that so loosely "out" the bad apples publicly on message boards where everyone gathers, so that must act as a counter-weight.

it's all about how you yourself conduct yourself as well. Just b/c someone says they're going to do something doesn't mean that they're going to. Holding them accountable is hard in this biz. Ppl always shoot their mouths. It's also about how well you are respected and reciprocate as well. Not to mention your own actions.

Hershie i would rather not out anyone on the boards, i dont see the need for it.

Im a bit upset as i am owed some money by some people.

i had pretty much written it off, as i know most people in this business will gladly steal from their friends. However an event transpired which i didnt like, so i asked for my money, and was told it is impossible to track how much they owe me..lol

i must look alot dumber then i am

Get your stuff in writing people.

I disagree. Most "outing" is for small ridiculous crap that could have easily been taken care of through proper communication methods... like a phone. The big stuff that maybe could be "outed" is never talked about. Hush hush.
