The PCI-Express Revolution
Next Monday (July 21st) is when Intel releases their Prescot processors which include their 915 chipsets, and the PCI-Express revolution will start. PCI-Express video cards, DDR2 ram, new processors, I can't wait, drool............. ha ha ha. Once the processors are out, other companies are gonna start kicking out their PCI-Express products.
Heck, you can already buy Corsair DDR2 ram, I got 2-gigs of it already, along with everything else to build a new computer. Now I just need a new processor, motherboard, and video card and I'll be golden. |
Its a dick thing, fast - faster - fastest, big - bigger - biggest.
Word is stil as fast as you can type. |
it's and endless money eating spiral - bah i wish they would use more money making functional working software instead. Look at apple / mac - because of a more or less single type platform you get rock steady performance and software crashes are almost non excisting. Now take the pc market - developers have to make their programs work on billions of different configurations - no wonder the shit crash sometimes. If a software firm build a program for one single machine like a Pentium 1 500 mhz - specifically build for that it would run faster than any High Performance $5000 pc you could buy today - scary thought eh
