Minimizing/Maximizing Windows' windows

I always keep all my windows minimized except the one I'm working in... and I always keep that one maximized...

I think my computer runs faster by minimizing unused windows... and I can't stand having wasted space working in a unmaximized window...

What's your preference?

pretty much the same, unless I absolutely need multiple windows to perform a certain task, then I size those windows to take up my whole screen area.

I doubt that win is running faster because of minimized windows.
It could be true if you have some old pentium 133 or something ...
Or if you're minimizing some applications which are using to many graphical resources

I hate having heaps of windows open. It definately runs quicker with them mimimized too. They get minimized when I hit show desktop so they are mostly like that all the time.
