2. Don't use too much soap
3. Don't overload them with 100 pairs of jeans

m00d 06-14-2004 09:05 PM

KMR Stitch 06-14-2004 09:07 PM

idiot.

I truely mean it this time.

Peaches 06-14-2004 09:09 PM

My front loader came with a video :) I didn't use it and I barely read the manual and I've been using it fine for 3+ years :thumbsup

However, much like Word, Excel, XP, my car, etc., I suspect it does a lot more than I ask it to do and I would learn about the extra things if I would just RTFM. :(

m00d 06-14-2004 09:10 PM

seriously though

always put your detergent in first or it will leave a residue on your clothes

dont overload - it's bad for the machine and it causes wrinkles

read your labels and wash accordingly

bleach is god - you have to bleach your whites to prevent dinginess

cold water is best for stains

i hope you bought the model with place to add your bleach and fabric softener automatically at the right cycle

when in doubt , wash cold

A real man doesn't do his laundry. I, for one, have never once done my laundry.

Some of the newer washers use the special soap, so it's best to read the manual. And always use half as much soap as you think you need. The extra suds harm the machine in the long run. OTher than that, they work just the same as top loaders. Come on Sleazy. You can do it. :)

how old are you? come on i don't think anyone reads the directions for a W & D it's just common sense. if you really don't know ask a female or your mom. if you don't you'll have pink socks =) (no colors with white). what have you been doing prior to this, how did you wash your clothing?

iwantchixx 06-14-2004 09:19 PM

very simple. Put in exactly the amount of soap it says to use on the soap box/jug and put clothes in to fill line and start the damn thing,

GTS Mark 06-14-2004 09:20 PM

Cheers to you, sir!

iwantchixx 06-14-2004 09:21 PM

if you see suds, you used too much soap. Modern laundry detergent doesnt need to sud. It's all micro bacterial based.

On those front load washers you want to use a dish type detergent like Dawn. Pour about half a bottle in and turn it on high. You should be all set.

In the off case that you really don't know what to attach -
the black hose gets connected to the cold water, the read one to the hot water. You'll need to get the 'accordian' tube and attach it to the dryer and the other end to your outgoing vent thinga-ma-jiggy. Make sure to seal the accordian tube well or you'll be full of lint & hot air in your laundry room in no time :)

HS-Trixxxia 06-14-2004 10:49 PM

BTW - congrats on the weight loss!!! Care to share how you're doing it?

Did the wife go on vacation?

aSStig 06-14-2004 10:49 PM

I once knew a chick who's boyfriend insisted on doing his own laundry (they lived together), and eventually his girlfriend dumped him for fear of gayness, and more. It begins with the laundry, next thing you know they are waxing their chest and hi-lighting their hair.

aside from single guys of course, men who take too much interest in their laundry have serious issues :2 cents:
