New Virus out!!
 

I keep getting this in my mail

"Today, Snowhite was turning 18. The 7 Dwarfs always where very educated and
polite with Snowhite. When they go out work at mornign, they promissed a
*huge* surprise. Snowhite was anxious. Suddlently, the door open, and the Seven
Dwarfs enter..." There's a .exe file attached!

I think it's a new virus, so if you get it do not open it

What does this virus do to your computer "I heard that it deletes everything on your system" is that true?

I do believe it's a VBS file.

It's been around for a long time.

It probably only affect outlook users =)

Yeah, I got that mail many times before, even in foreign languages. I don't know it happend, but the virus actually got onto my system in some temporary files and then it was in some of my restore files. Even though you never opened it up, you might wanna do a full scan on your system because I never opened it and my wifey said that she never opened it, but yet it was on my system. Here's the files that it was hidden in -

This is what Norton caught and pointed out -

The file
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\sexy virgin.scr
is infected with the W95.Hybris.Gen.dr virus.
Unable to repair this file.

C:\_RESTORE\TEMP\A0065431.CPY
is infected with the W95.Hybris.Gen.dr virus.
Unable to delete this file.

It was also in another CPY file or two. You can't repair or have Norton delete it either. I ended up tossing out the entire Windows Temp file, then I either tossed out the other files individually or I ran Norton again and it did get rid of the infected files, now all is back to normal.

Like I say though guys, you should do a total scan of your system if you got it because I never opened it and it was sitting in my temporary files, so it might be on your system to.

I hope that this info will help ya out a little.

Thanks for the info!! I havn't even got Norton on my computer cause I formated my drives and forgot to put it back in. I'll do it first thing tomorrow morning and do a complete scan of my entire HD, I just fuckin hope I don't have the virus in any of my files

I have received it through outlook express probably 100 times or more.
Mostly last month. This month only a few.
But I always delete it as soon as it comes in. I never knew it was a virus but suspected that it was.
